Meaning “dream” in ancient Norse, Draumr stands out as the solo project of the French musician, producer and director Gabriel Cheurfa.
Through spell-binding visuals reminiscent of the surrealism of David Lynch, Michel Gondry, Salvador Dalí or Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and a very distinct sound blending dream pop, downtempo, glo-fi and chillwave, the multifaceted artist draws on memories, real or distorted, to build a bridge over emptiness – a junction of dreams and trailing echoes of the past.
